Do what you love and delegate the chores to a Virtual Assistant

Can a passion as a business end up being a chore?

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and for many of us romance will be on the agenda.

As well as romance some of us will be planning on building a business based on what we love to do, whether that is arranging flowers or building a multi-national business.  But can a passion turned into a business end up being a chore?

Passion can trigger a business idea but it is crucial to ensure that the less exciting work gets completed as well as the core part of your business.  As the dream becomes a business you must separate what you enjoy from what makes the business a reality. This requires a big change in attitude.

If you are lucky then the mundane parts of running your business will just be an extension of what you love. Indulging in your passion can become something you love to do, with or without the typical every day business chores and challenges.

Personally, I don’t think it would be possible to run a business that you didn’t feel passion for – how could you spend your days and hours in a business of your own that you didn’t find rewarding?

Whether you are in business to do business, or your main aim is to spend all day doing what you love, both are very good reasons not to waste one moment of time on chores that don’t necessarily need to be done by you.

At the end of a hard day of building a business, or truly indulging in something you love, any businessman or woman should be able to ask themselves questions like: “Why am I booking my own travel?” or “Couldn’t I pay someone else to do this typing for me?”

They’re good questions! Fortunately, Virtual Assistants are people who have built their business out of a love of doing the tasks that most people either don’t enjoy or don’t have the time or energy for. They’re also passionate about helping other people grow their business by making more time for doing the things they love and are good at.

How do you manage your routine tasks? We’d love to hear from you – feel free to leave a comment below
